Milan Look Towards Pelizzoli
AC Milan are preparing a sizable offer for Lokomotiv Moscow goalkeeper Ivan Pelizzoli, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Rossoneri have identified the signing of a new number one as one of their primary summer transfer targets.

The error-prone Nelson Dida will be offloaded, while Zeljko Kalac will remain as the club’s backup keeper.

A whole host of shot-stoppers have been linked with a move to San Siro, including Sebastien Frey, Gomes, and Alexander Doni. The latest name to be put forward is Lokomotiv Moscow’s Ivan Pelizzoli.

The 27-year-old was once seen as the successor to Gianluigi Buffon in the Italy national team during his time at Atalanta as a youngster.

However his career nose-dived spectacularly ever since a move to Roma in 2001. Milan still believe that Pelizzoli has talent and are willing to take a gamble on him.

The Bergamo-native is desperate to return to the Italian peninsula, as he has grown increasingly homesick since moving to Russia from Reggina in January 2007.
